Race Reports 2011

Anglesey 4th/5th June 2011 - Shave the Wales...
|
Darley Moor 22nd May 2011
Timed practice resulted in a 2nd on the grid (yes, that's SECOND AGAIN), due to the damp conditions, however, small grid meant two race class wins as no one else turned up...

Mallory 15th May 2011 - OMG
Timed practice resulted in a 2nd on the grid (yes, that's SECOND), ahead
of big Jap fours and within two tenths of pole (oh my god) etc.etc.
In slightly slippy conditions, "Fast" O'Reilly, with a new
found speed that has been hidding away for the last 30+ years, ran up
the front in race 1. Seven out of ten laps in second doing the same
lap times as the leader on a 750 Kawasaki four. Apparently, the scary
voices started in his head chanting"I can win this, I can win this"...
As conditions improved, two four cylinder bikes got by, religating O'Reilly
to a (still unpresidented) 4th, until the usual incompetance returned
making a mistake with two laps to go at the hairpin and going straight
on. Still finished 5th out of a grid of 15+, well ahead of all other
twins/singles.
Race 2 was dry, so circulated 4th behind an 1100 Katana (not quite quick
enough to get by), again well ahead of the other singles/twins. Until
dropping off the pace a little, on the last corner of the last lap,
a missed gear resulted in 4 lost seconds and allowed a criminally insane
lunatic on a VT500 to get by, with no time before the line to repass.
To put this in perspective, last year finishes were, er, like 12th on the Guzzi at Mallory...
Snetterton
2nd/3rd April - Who do you think you are kidding Mr H...
New 3+ mile circult caused some problems with the rider's short term memory (stupid boy), however:
4 races, 4 class wins, best results ever.
Don't panic, don't panic !

Season 2011 - Preparation
In
an effort to reduce the overall race bike's weight for the upcoming
2011 season, the teams experimentation with a reduce set of components
is well advanced...
